GUID Generation with ActionScript 2
Thursday, August 26th, 2010Earlier in the year I had to generate a GUID from within Flash for a project at work. The project had to be in ActionScript 2 and I was able to find a very helpful class at designscripting. This class handled the actual GUID creation nicely and all seemed well at first. However, after a few months, we started seeing something odd in the reports: we had several thousand duplicate id's coming in. (more...)
